Many garments, especially delicate ones such as wedding dresses, need special care. Many times they require a soaking bath. It is imperative that this is done with the proper temperature, mechanical action and product. A hot head dry cleaning press or silk press is an excellent way to finish delicate garments such as silk, linen and blends. Many cleaners do not have this piece of equipment but anyone doing a lot of wedding gowns, or formal dresses will definitely see the value. The heated head evenly distributes heat to give a smooth, polished finish. The weight of the head is much less than a laundry hot head therefore, it does not damage these specialty garments.
